Tumblr

Chances are no one will read this.

Tumblr is such a great concept. It incorporates the social networking platforms of twitter and blogging. From the outset it seems like such a great idea, it allows for just one person to communicate to a mass audience.

The problem is that it is filled with teeny boppers and Justin Bieber lovers. Not that I have anything against the Bieb or his fans and in the past I have never really had a  problem with teeny boppers. Except now the problem is if you try to write something your message is quickly drowned out by photos of household items taken with DSLR cameras and passed off as art, shitty web cam photos of disturbed, vain and pretentious girls, a myriad of screen-shots of tv shows and films with the subtitles enabled and finally heaps of horny and sexually restless anons asking attractive girls stupid questions.

Once again at the outset I never had a problem with these things, in fact I reblogged and took part in a lot of this sort of content, but now I feel that any piece of written work with a real message is shoved under the rug of pop culture and the stale and meaningless images of familiarity.

What I am trying to say is on tumblr it’s hard to find an audience who will read written words rather than look at a picture and that’s why I have decided to start another blog here: http://jokesandfood.wordpress.com/

Wordpress is aimed at an audience who wants to read rather than look at a picture for fleeting split second.

With that said I will continue to post meaningless photos here: http://celebseatinghotdogs.tumblr.com/
